Why do I feel that all of the "anonymous" responses are airline employees? I obviously do not know the true experience of the OP, but I do know my own experience - WORST AIRLINE EVER!

An entire day delay for my outbound flight and several hours delay for my return flight. Neither flights were delayed due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. The outbound flight delay caused me to be a half day late to a training for a new job (not to mention having to pay twice to go the airport) and they don't really care. Other airlines will work to get you on another flight; Allegiant does nothing but to say that they will give you a refund and you can go buy a ticket with another airlines.

Too bad that when attempting to purchase a "same day" ticket it's about 3 times the cost. Also, their "flight status" option is horrible as well. My spouse was checking my flight status the entire time (both days) and it would show "on time" hours after the plane was set to leave.

And even when it showed "delayed" it would have old information. eg their website showed: Departture time Estimated: 11:51 AM when it's already 12:30 PM.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $1500.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Location: Las Vegas, NV 89123, USA

I am anonymous, but not an airline employee. The problem is that people think all airlines are the same, although they do not think that about restaurants, hotels, or stores.

If you go to a fast food restaurant, do you complain about the lack of cloth napkins?

Allegiant Air is a low cost airline, with limited flights, equipment, and personnel. It does not have agreements with other airlines to transport passengers in case of problems. As a result, the passenger either waits until they can fly on another Allegiant flight, or they get a refund and buy another ticket. Everything you complain about is exactly what you agreed to, when you bought a low-cost ticket from Allegiant.

In contrast, Delta is a bigger airline, with more flights, planes, and employees, as well as agreements with other airlines to carry passengers. A part of what you pay for with the bigger airlines is this greater chance of getting to your destination at or about the scheduled time. Buy cheap, get cheap. Spend money, get better service.

This is basic economics.

As long as people fly on low cost airlines, they are going to have these problems. The solution is to look at the rules for each airline and realize that airlines differ in many ways, including the number of delays.

You pay to fly to a destination on the date and at the time the airline scheduled the flight. I have flown other discount airlines many times and they always departed on time.

Seriously... They barely have time to answer phones, check people in at the counter, load the planes and check people in at the gate.

Do you think they even read this stuff much less respond to it?

Sadly this is what happens when you deal with a low cost carrier.

I'm surprised you didn't find this site when you researched the airline.

You did research this airline before paying to go on something as important as a new job?

No....
