Daughter's luggage (borrowed from us) was damaged on an Allegiant flight from Mesa, AZ. Interior frame broken (crushed apparently), wheels now wobble and do not track straight due to the lack of support from the broken interior frame.

Contacted Allegiant and sent pictures to them. Allegiant's policy is that if the bag can still be used they are not responsible for any damages. They acknowledge they damaged it, but if it still functions to hold items, they will not pay for any damage.

This is a quality luggage piece, not a discount store special. Delsey brand is good solid piece of luggage with a life-time guarantee.

Monetary Loss: $300.

Contents of my luggage all unwrapped, then put back in luggage, all broken when opened at home. Dishes, trophy and a puzzle box poked and pieces all over suitcase. Watched them throw the cases from trolly to ramp in the downpour in pgd airport may 23!!!!


YES. This happen to us to.

They broke the handle of our almost brand new SAMSONITE bag and would not accept responsibility because it still hold items. Another passenger on our flight had her pull out handle broken almost totally detached.

We were told by allegiant staff that they encounter a lot of broken luggage complaint everyday. They would not even file a report on the incident and expect you to just call customer service and rant there.
