I will NEVER travel with Allegiant again

I have been a loyal Allegiant customer for several years however this year traveling with Allegiant was nothing but stressful. Their advertised prices are misleading and downright LIES. They advertise in bold print on the first page where you pick a vehicle that the taxes and fess are included and any reasonable person would think that meant ALL taxes and fees for both the car and the airline ticket. when you pick up your car however you will be told that the taxes and fees are for the airline ticket only and that you owe HUNDREDS of dollars of unpaid taxes and fees on the rental car and they will point out to you on a back page in TINY print where it indicates that the taxes and fees on the car are not included. They intentionally make it look like the taxes and fees are included for the size car you are paying for in big bold print on the front page. only the size car you select will show that the taxes and fees are including leaving you to think that the other size cars are the ones where the taxs and fees are not included. Any reasonable person would read it that way. They will not even discuss the issue with you and do not care one bit about your satisfaction as a customer all they want is your money and they will LIE to get it. They make it impossible to actually talk to any body with any authority to resolve whatever issue you may have. REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY ADVERTISE DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. THEY LIE AND STEAL AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. THEY WILL DO NOTHING TO RECTIFY THEIR INACCURACIES AND YOU CAN'T EVEN GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYBODY WHO HAS ANY AUTHORITY TO RESOLVE ANY ISSUES. MY TRIP ENDED UP COSTING ME $500 MORE THAN ADVERTISED BY THE TIME IT WAS OVER AND MY VACATION WAS RUINED DUE TO THE STRESS OF BEING LIED TO AND CHEATED BY ALLEGIANT AIR

The worst flight experience I have ever had.

I will never fly with allegiant air again. I only live five minutes away from the airport but it is not worth it. We booked a flight from Provo UT to Oakland and back. A simple 1.5 you're flight. NOT SO! Both flights we have a FOUR HOUR delays. the only compensation given was a complementary drink (which is two buck otherwise). Really, their planes are to old and need to be replaced. The seat do not recline in the plane and carry on bags are $25. You can take your chances but I never will again. I hope someone reads this and thinks twice about using alligiant air.

Allegiant Air - FAIL!

On 7/14/2013 I boarded Allegiant Air flight 803. Flight was already delayed 2 hours. A man had been causing issues at the gate...he was visibly upset...flailing his arms and yelling at the gate agent. Boarded the plane and tried to sit in my seat. The same irate man was now sitting in my seat. I had a boarding pass that said "6F"...he did not. I very nicely asked him if he had the wrong seat and I checked my boarding pass. He freaked out. Yelled. Screamed. Flailed his arms more and threatened to hit me. I ducked and went to the back of the plane to inform a flight attendant. Flight attendant said that the man was causing problems for him and refused to move from my seat (WHICH I HAD PAID $17 EXTRA FOR). Flight attendant had me "step aside" for about 20 minutes until the rest of the plane boarded. Then, they found me a *** seat. I can't reach anyone at Allegiant Air to help me. They don't have a customer service department, do they? I tried Twitter, facebook, phone, online form...NADA. This is absurd. I filed a complaint with the FAA, because from where I stand that man was drunk and they allowed him to board the plan and assault a passenger (me).

They will tell that that you got for what you paid...

Problem is when you add all hidden charges or surcharges ( for instance, if you cannot pay on line for your luggage and you have to check in at the airport you will pay an additional $ 100 $ for a bag within the cabin !!!) Allegiant is not cheaper; it take just avantage of very well marketed direct flights. If, on top of that you add to consider the poor customers service, you may more carefully thing about a company that doesn't behave with its employees.

If this man was visibly drunk and/or argumentative with the Gate Agent, he should not have been allowed to board the aircraft, if anything, for the Agent to ask him step aside and speak to him privately to conduct himself properly. If this passenger was also argumentative and appeared under the influence with the Flight Attendant and in the wrong seat, he should not have been permitted to fly.

It is hard to imagine a Flight Attendant not addressing this situation with the Captain to re-seat him, speak with him, inform him that he is in the wrong seat, "unfit to fly," and have him removed from the aircraft.

If unable to contact this specific airline, as on most websites, there is a place to "Contact" in writing. It is hard to prove assault, but if there truly was, the Flight Attendant would never have let this man fly without informing the Captain and/or Supervisor on Duty.

Anytime a passenger argues or causes problems with a Crew Member it is considered "Interference with a Uniformed Crew Member" and there are fines/imprisonment. Furthermore, flights are documented so if this was an issue, there would be proper documentation.

Allegiant airline - the savings isn't worth it

They created delays that caused me to miss my flight. When I returned to the counter they could not help me. They offered that all they could do was have me pay full fare for a flight 2 days later. They closed the counter with me standing there. I called costumer service I was on hold for 46 minutes. The costumer service rep also could not help me apart from booking a full fare ticket for a flight in 2 days and I could dispute the charges in writing but that "it would be my word against theirs". Basically don't fly them if you actually expect to get a flight! The estimated value below is the cost of getting a full fare ticket that day on a competing airline)

It sounds as if they purposely created a delay (????) to cause problems for their passengers. However, I believe Allegiant is a point-to-point carrier and is not responsible for a passenger making a connection to its own carrier or another.

Delays DO happen with weather or mechanical, sometimes medical emergencies or diversions.

It is wise to ALWAYS allow ample connecting time between flights and research the Contract of Carriage and Terms of Conditions BEFORE placing blame of the airline and/or its employees. Many times if one misses a flight, it is the passenger who did not plan or research properly before booking.

Allegiant Airline Left Us Stranded

Flight arrived from prevoius flight at the samr time we were scheduled to leave. We were advised plane had mechanical problems, wait at gate area for 8 hours and was then told flight was cancelled. Offered a whooping $100 credit toward a future flight and to reschedule us on another flight afternoon the next day. Lost re-paid ticket to Disneyland for 5 people and cancelled our trip. Gate attendant could not issue a refund of our tickets. Advised us to call their customer service number, and said "Good Luck". On-hold for 1 hour 9 minutes, 41 seconds, and finally hung up. Save yourself the aggravation and take another airline!

This airline had passengers from LV to Mesa stranded on the runway in 110F temps with no water, no air conditioning for several hours. The FAA three hour rule is just smoke and mirrors. Allegiant air so far has not been charged. Nobody dared to mention how inhumane this treatment is. The pilot had full authority to return to the runway but was not given the green light from HQ because of the costs involved. Canadians are a big big user of Allegiant Air. So many Canadians are complacent that they rarely will complain. Search for Allegiant at the above website to post your experiences.

Delays, Incompetence, Unprofessional

We were delayed in a small airport for over 4 hours with two small children due to mechanical failures on the plane. And to make the situation worse, the only place to get anything to eat or drink in the ENTIRE TERMINAL closed 2 hours before we could even board the plane. We were stuck in terminal for 2 hours with no food or drink and no recourse from Allegiant staff at all. After finally arriving at our destination at 2am when is should have been 9:30 pm the PREVIOUS DAY we were afraid we would have to stay in that terminal since the rental car location closed at 11pm and wouldn't reopen until 8 am next morning...we were at least happy to know they stayed open for our flight. We had to change all of our plans for that day since we arrived at 2 am and essentially paid for a whole day we weren't there for because of delays. Then our returning flight was, AGAIN, delayed for the same amount of time for yet anothr mechanical failure on the same plane- 4 more hours in a small terminal with 2 small children. Once we finally boarded that plane we sat on the runway for 10 minutes BURNING OFF FUEL that the pilot said they overfilled the tank with. SO WE SAT THERE WITH ALL ENGINES ON BURNING FUEL FOR 10 MINUTES!!!! Jet fuel that we as passengers had to pay for! We spent a whole day (10 hours) in terminals waiting on planes to depart due to Allegiant's "mechanical failures." When I tried to call or chat I had to wait over an hour just to be disconnected. They offered no recourse. Absolutely horrible, unprofessional staff. Flight attendants were tired, also due to delays, so they were unpleasant on the flights. Words cannot explain how much I now detest Allegiant. I will tell everyone I know and write on any forum I can to spread the word on how unprofessional they are and continue to be with me.

Hmmmmm, where does it say in any airline's Contract of Carriage that an airline must feed its passengers? Many airports, especially smaller ones, have set operating hours and is always a good idea to research options at that specific airport, OR bring snacks with you.

I have arrived many times at airports when Rental Car Companies close, however, some DO stay open to accommodate the arriving flight, or have a number posted at their counter to call. If one knows a flight is delayed, why not call the Car Company???? Delays DO happen.

Air Travel can be frustrating but if passengers attitude and tempers were kept in check as mature adults, airline employees may treat others a bit better. Employees can only do so much.

The worst customer service ever

I had booked a flight with them about 2 weeks ago. My return date was somehow changed-I take responsibility for that-and was going to be charged $43. I went to pay it, and it would never go through. I tried again a few days later, and it was $58. I emailed their complaint department, was given a number to call, was on hold for 53 min, then was disconnected. I called a few days later again, was told basically it was my problem and that it was $105 to change the flight. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no, they only email people. A week later when I still not received an email I called again, was told there was nothing there was nothing I could do but pay the $105. The agent and I had choice words, and I told her to cancel it and refund my money and she said she would have to charge me $150 to cancel it and I told her no. I tried to change it online again and it said $78 but still would not go through, so I called a 5th time, talked to another agent who argued with me that the price right in front of my eyes was wrong!!! He then advised me to log out and then log back in, and when I did my whole flight was cancelled and I received a voucher for $73, but no refund of my money!!! They are CROOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LARGE Hidden Fees, Concealed Costs and No Customer Service

The multiple problems I encountered with making a first time reservation with Allegiant include: while claiming to save money by booking a rental car with the flight, I discovered after completing the purchase that the price of the rental car did not include the rental fees and as a result was significantly higher than most other sites. Additionally, although it said I could change a reservation for $50, this was untrue as they meant I could only upgrade under certain time constraints. If I wanted to cancel the rental car only, I would have to cancel the flight as well. Once I purchased the flight and car, they rolled the cost together and never again on any form or page would show the breakdown of the costs. In summary, with their statements, they lead you to believe that the cost is set once you hit 'purchase' only to learn on the subsequent screen that there are hidden fees and several qualifiers and time constraints that don't allow you to change anything without losing the whole cost of the ticket. Also, I was on hold with customer service for 25 mins (after being told my wait would be no more than 9 Mins) and finally gave up without speaking to a representative. Very displeased by the intentional lack of honesty and clarity regarding pricing by this company.

Tickets can be cheap when you don't employee customer service reps!

Any airline can provide cheaper rates when you don't staff your "customer service" center. After being held hostage in my local airport for 8 hours after a pile excuses (with a 2 year old I may add), we finally got to our destination 10 hours late. Now I know delays can happen on any airline,but their customer service and communication strategies for handling the delay were laughable. Then they had the audacity to charge us for water (yes, the stuff that should be provided free anyone, especially those you delayed 10 hours). I am trying to cancel my return ticket since I don't trust them to get me home and have some important meetings. I've now wasted 2 hours of my life trying to reach their phantom customer service reps, and basically am hitting walls. No one at the airport can help, no one on their chat can help. It's time to start emailing their CEO. Maybe that will get some attention.

I will never use Allegiant again. I left Phoenix on Thursday, June 30 4 hours late.

Wife followed on today and same flight is delayed. Also changed the departure time to mid day from what used to be early mornings. Completely scraps the whole day and night. Not worth saving the $75.00.

Horrible customer service and old planes. Good luck to those of you hoping to save a few bucks in the future.

After several rounds of emails, Allegiant Air denies any boxes to check but admits to having a partnership with these companies. All I did was sign on, buy a ticket and travel.

I have never shopped with any TLG companies. The TLG companies stated that I was enrolled when I purchased my ticket with Allegiant Air. Seems like a huge scam to me. Buy your ticket, automatically be enrolled in something you are unaware of and then be billed until you catch them.

No refunds. No one taking responsibility. Everyone covered by their legal documents of something or another being in fine print somewhere saying I knew when I didn't.

In they end, they have nearly $700 of mine and there is nothing I can do. So much for my cheap ticket.

Our flight was scheduled to leave Las Vegas at 525 so we arrived 2 hours early as it suggest you do. The new time was 845 with a scheduled flight at 710 that was not affected at all because I assume they would rather *** off 200 ppl rather than 400 ppl which is *** since we have been waiting since 325. They promised our flight would *** before the 710 and here we are still waiting at 8. They lied repeated and did not compensate for anything. This is a *** airline that should be shut down due to unorganizion and untrustworthy employees. I am very disappointed that they even got a penny from me and I expect some sort of compensation and I would not want a voucher to fly with them because that will never happen again. Allegiant air is bull *** and have lost many customers due to this one flight.

Allegiant was more organized and much more profession when it was ALL actual Allegiant Employees...not the "staff" they current have with this company. Customer Service flew out the door when they replaced Allegiant people with an outsourced company!!!!

Pitiful Customer Service

Terrible. Got to the airport and came in after being held up by a traffic issue, only to have the man running the check-in counter shut down his computer AS we walked up to him. He refused to turn it back on and check us in, telling us (despite the fact we had our ID and confirmation code at the ready) that we couldn't board, even though they were still actually loading passengers. Before he walked off (yes, really), he said that we'd have to call the customer service number on the sign. We did. Busy. Repeatedly. We finally convinced another Allegiant clerk to see if she could get someone to help us book another flight. After waiting 45 minutes ... with nobody showing up ... we gave up and left. Terrible. We contacted customer service later via email to complain ... and were told there was nothing they could do about this. Really? One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever been involved with.

How MANY times do you people HAVE to be reminded to get to the airport for check-in in ample time, and THAT includes allowing for possible traffic delays!!!! And the Customer Service person is right - what can she/he do since you were delayed.

Allow for such delays. I really think many travelers EXPECT airline employees to lead them by the hand the entire trip!
