No offense, but if your bag sizes, number of items, and/or weights were off, then you brought this on yourself. They give that info up front, so choosing to NOT follow it is foolish and discourteous to your fellow flyers.

It doesn't matter if you got away with it a dozen times before. It's your responsibility to make sure you are within the stated guidelines. From what you've indicated in your own words, your bags DID NOT match the requirements at boarding in number and weight (and perhaps even size).

What did you think would happen? If you can't follow simple rules, save your fellow flyers the irritation and drive a car.

Allegiant air

I booked a flight and had to change to do unforseen circumstances. They charged a $50 change fee which was not an issue. Attempted 3 times to change on line and each time their website kicked me off with an error message. Finally let me through but this time I forgot to change the destination. I realized my mistake and immediately tried to call customer service but their phones lines stated busy and would not accept my phone call. Eventually tried to cancell on line but system would not allow. Got through to customer service but they stated they would have to charge me another $50 to change again. New flight would cost me $54 but they want to charge me the orginal $112 plus my $100 in change fees. They are truely idiots.

Worse ever customer service EVER Allegiant Air

After six phone calls with no success we used the live chat option. I asked one question then they cut me off with a message telling me to call the airlines if we have any more questions. We proceeded to call again it took 5 phone calls before I was able to speak with a live person. I asked her for help we could not figure out how I messed up our reservation for 6. She said we only had four, I told her that can’t be correct we have the confirmation number for 6 and was billed for 6. She told me to go on line and book two more. I said that would be reservations for 8, all I heard was beeping she hung up on me as well. We will NOT recommend this airline Allegiant Air employees have awful customer service!!! They asked me to repeat both my cell and home number so I know they have our contact info and did not try to return my call.

Being a former engineeer, you should know that you file for a route before leaving your departure city. Therefore, ATC controls all traffice, it's not a free highway in the skies.

So if you landed in Sky Harbor there was some apparent reason, agree or disagree that you couldn't go to Gateway. Think please think!

My husband is waiting for his flight out of Palm Springs. Because they don't update their website I had to call.

When I told her that if they updated their website they wouldn't receive phone calls looking for updates...at that point she said to me that's okay because "we close at 11PM anyway". Nice customer service.

Delayed/cancelled flight & stole other booked planes | Allegiant Air review from Brandon, Florida

I arrived on time for my flight and had to wait for 7 hours before the flight was ultimately re-scheduled 22 hours later due to the crew not being available. I feel they should be able to #1 not fly all their planes at once, thereby having a spare for breakdowns so someone else's plane is not stolen to accomodate the prior delayed flight. #2 do they not know how to read a computer screen to determine if a crew is beyond their flight time? #3 their is absolutely NO customer service...good luck finding anyone from allegiant airlines to talk to about anything!
